This video provides a step by step walk-through for adding vendor software sources, creating custom software sources, creating versioned custom software sources, removing software sources, and navigating the software sources page on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure web console.

A software source is a collection of packages and modules. Software sources control the content that’s available to and installed on instances managed by Oracle OS Management Hub. When you add a software sources to OS Management Hub, they’re available to all instances in the region. Management stations mirror all software sources added to the service. Vendor software sources are the foundational packages and content. Custom and versioned custom software sources are created from the selecting vendor software using filters. Custom software sources can be used with groups and instances while versioned custome software sources are only usable with lifecycle environements. At this time, software sources do not auto resolve dependencies.
